In Chinese funeral service tradition, it is very important that people have the opportunity to pay their respect to a person who leaves the mortal world.
Funeral rites must follow a carefully prescribed format which becomes even more complex as rites are augmented and changed depending on a person's age, marital status, position in the community and many other factors.
